1. General conditions applicable to all transfers
1.1 Formentera transfers offers 4 types of transfers, to and from the port:
- Shared transfers to/from the main tourist areas
- Shared transfers to/from remote areas or in the countryside
- Private transfers to/from main tourist areas
- Private transfers to/from remote tourist areas
The main tourist areas, as well as their stops, are specified in point 1.10 and are subject to these conditions of hiring.
1.2. Shared transfers may include other passengers, whereas private transfers are made without additional passengers or groups.
1.3. Shared transfers can therefore mean that various stops may be necessary between the port-destination or place of origin-port route.
1.4. Shared transfers to the main tourist areas is not a transfer to the hotel entrance or accommodation, although, in many cases, the accommodation is very close by, or at a maximum distance of a couple of minutes’ walk away. The bus can make one or several stops in each one of the centres or en route.
1.5. All shared transfers from the port have a waiting margin of a maximum of 30 minutes from the contracted time. For private transfers a waiting margin can be caused by a time change requested by the client who has given less than 12 hours’ notice.
1.6. Cancellation is free up until 24 hours before any type of transfer.
1.7. The prices include VAT at the current rate and luggage for the private transfer. In the shared transfer, the price includes one suitcase per person. Additional suitcases cost €1 per suitcase.
1.8. In the case of transfers that require it, if the time of arrival or departure of the boat is not stated, then the reservation is not confirmed even if it has been paid for.
1.9. For transfers to the port, both private and shared, the departure time of the boat to Ibiza will be necessary. Depending on the time of the boat and the collection point, the customer will receive confirmation of the time they will be collected by Formentera Transfers.
For private and shared transfers from main tourist areas, see the time and place of collection below. However, Formentera Transfers reserve the right to inform the client of a change of time or place if necessary due to service needs.
TIME IN ADVANCE REQUIRED BEFORE THE DEPARTURE OF THE BOAT TO IBIZA FOR PICKUPS IN PORT DIRECTION
For private transfers, the collection will be at the reception entrance of the establishment.
For shared transfers, the collection will be either at the reception entrance or on the street or road, as shown in the enclosed tables.
The time of reference is the time of departure of the boat from the port of Formentera to Ibiza.

1.10. The main tourist areas are the tourist centres of Es Pujols, Sa Roqueta, Punta Prima, Ca Marí, es Caló, the area of Es Cupinà, where the hotels are Riu la Mola and Club Maryland are situated, as well as the area of Es Mal Pas (Playa Migjorn) and Cala Saona. Also, the towns of San Francisco and San Fernando. The transfer stops that are used for shared transfers for these points are specified in points 2.2 and 2.3 of these conditions of hiring.
1.11. Other areas or tourist places are considered as remote areas or as being in the countryside.
2.Conditions for shared transfers
2.1. Shared transfers hotel areas of Sa Roqueta, Es Pujols, Punta Prima, Ca Marí, Es Caló, Maryland y Riu La Mola
The most common route for the shared transfers from the port of Formentera to the main tourist areas is:
- Departs from the port towards Es Pujols.
- Stops before reaching Es Pujols, in the Sa Roqueta area, next to the La Laguna supermarket. The hotels are a short walk away from the stop, and will take approximately 3 or 4 minutes.
- Stops in Es Pujols, in front of the hotel Sa Volta and Castaví Apartments, and then enters the street of the Hotel Blanco and the Five Flowers Hotel, where it makes a stop at the roundabout.
- From here, it goes go back to the Es Pujols Ring Road to the Punta Prima Resort.
- From there the transfer continues to Sant Ferran (San Fernando) where it stops on the main road, and continues towards the tourist centre of Ca Marí, on the Migjorn beach, where it makes four stops (Bungalows es Pins, Hotel Ca Marí, Hotel es Pi, Formentera Playa Hotel).
- From the tourist area of Ca Marí it continues in the direction of La Mola, making a stop at Es Caló on the main road, near Restaurant Pascual.
- Then the bus continues in the direction of La Mola, making a stop close to the Hotel Entre Pinos.
- From the Hotel Entre Pinos it continues towards the Migjorn area, Es Cupinà making stops at the Insotel Club Maryland and at the Hotel Riu la Mola.
The average duration of this trip is 45 minutes, depending on the number of stops that are carried out. The route of the transfer to the port of La Savina (Formentera) the other way around.
2.2. Shared transfers from the port to the area of Es Mal Pas (Playa Migjorn) and Cala Saona
In case of shared transfers from the port of Formentera to Cala Saona or Mal Pas, the usual route is as follows:
- Departure from the port in the direction of Sant Francesc (San Francisco Javier).
- From Sant Francesc it takes the road to Es Mal Pas, on the beach of Migjorn. In the area of Es Mal Pas there can be up to 5 stops, depending on the needs of our customers:
- Junction of Paraiso de los Pinos apartments (100 metres from the apartments)
- Junction of the Casbah Apartments (100 metres away)
- Junction of the Ses Eufabietes apartments (50 metres away)
- Junction of the Allida apartments (20 metres away)
- Junction of the Miguel Torres Apartments, at the entrance there.
- Then, the transfer returns to the road of Sant Francesc, branching off to Cala Saona until arriving at the Hotel Cala Saona.
The average duration of this trip is 25 minutes, depending on the number of stops that are carried out. The transfer route towards the port of La Savina (Formentera) is the opposite way around.
The transfer stops for shared transfers are shown on the following map.
Formentera is a small and fragile island, with many roads unusable by large vehicles, such as buses. The coach used for shared transfers can have up to 55 places on the route that goes to Es Pujols, just by road. The shuttle bus to Cala Saona and Mal Pas is for 12 people.
2.3. Conditions for shared transfers to remote tourist areas or in the countryside
- Shared transfers to tourist areas, that are not the main ones mentioned in the previous points, are considered transfers to remote areas or in the countryside.
- This transfer from or towards the port is a transfer that drops you off or picks you up at the door of the establishment, house or apartment requested, the same as a private transfer.
- Even though it is a shared transfer, the coaches which make the transfer have generally a maximum of 12 seats.
3. Conditions for private transfers
- Private transfers are booked online with a minimum notice of 24 hours in advance. If you want to book a private transfer later than this, you should contact the company.
- Private transfers are transfers to or from the door of the establishment or required address, provided that the company vehicles can access it. If not, we will inform the client.
- Private transfers to and from the port of Formentera will take place from 8 am to 10 pm. For private transfers at other times, please contact the company.
- Private transfers have a minimum hiring price for 1 to 5 people. From the sixth person, an additional cost per person is charged.
- The price of a private transfer for the 2019 season is as follows:
- Transfers Port – Main Tourist Area or vice-versa: €64 for 1 to 5 people and €16 per additional person
- Transfers Port – Remote Tourist Area or vice-versa: €72 for 1 to 5 people and €18 per additional person
- Transfers Port – Main areas – Port: €120 for 1 to 5 people and €30 per additional person
- Transfers Port-Remote areas -Port: €136 per person and €34 per additional person.
